Hello! My name is [Helper]BeaconArtz, and I am here to help you today on your application! Being a staff member myself I had to apply, and it was kind of tough, I wasn't sure if I would receive the position or not. And now becoming one and looking on the other applications, I have found many tips that will make your application better!
1. Use correct grammar
Using correct grammar will help others read your application, and it shows us that you are strong with words, and know how to use them correctly.
2. Do not use emojis
Using emojis distracts the reader and tells us that you use them a lot, and most staff members should not use them very much, for answers need to be solid.
3. Use correct punctuation
This means that you should not end every sentence in a '!', or use the wrong punctuation in the application. Please put periods at the end of sentences, and if required use '!'
4. Be honest
If you are honest with all of your answers, you have a way better chance on becoming staff. Tell the truth in your answers and then we can gain more trust in you!
5. Correct answer length
Some questions require 1-2 paragraphs, while others require a sentence or even a word! But branch off on the small ones, and an example would be if you say your timezone. If you say: 'GMT' that tells us your timezone, but tell us why it is good, and how it can help us! Quality not quantity, do not ramble on about off topic matters, or repeat things already said in different wording
.
6. When to use colors
Do not use bright colors that are random and distract the reader, but if you have dark colors that symbol something, such as green could be important, and red could be the questions, that will help. Colors do not affect your application in any way unless they distract the readers, then it will count as a negative.
7. Tell exactly how long you have been on the server
Self explanatory! I have seen many applications where this question is answered wrong, and they try to hide their time because it is very small! The longer you play on the server before you apply, the more you know people, and the better of feedback you will get because those people know you, and can see if you were honest. I would suggest at least playing a week before applying, for in that time you can meet everyone and create relationships.
8. Do not ask the owner or other staff to read your application
This will negatively affect your application, and each time you ask you have less of a chance. If the application goes by for at least a week with no answer, please ask me or the other helpers/moderators, not the owner. We will manage this, and a long time for an answer might mean that you have a good chance and we are deciding.
9. Use the correct format
Applications with the wrong format will be denied automatically, so do not add more questions or follow a different format. Answer the questions in the format and none others! This is the information we need to know about you in your application, not other information
.
10. Take your time
Many think that they must submit it quickly before others join and submit theirs, but as I said in the length of playing time, the more time the better! Take your time with your application, do not rush.
11. Do not copy your application
Every application that is copied has a big chance to be discovered that it is copied, for many people can find things like that. If you copy your application it will be denied right away, so please do not copy it.
12. Application spacing
Was your application denied? If so, wait a week to re-apply. If we contact you saying that you are not fit for the rank, don't. Sometimes great players have horrible applications, and just need to apply again.
Thanks for reading, and I hope I helped you with your application.
Kind Regards,
OmegaPvP Staff - [Helper] BeaconArtz
